As a student, I often relied on tuition assistance to pursue my own dreams.

Because of that support, I understand firsthand how meaningful access to music education can be.

GRANTED was created to extend that opportunity to dedicated singers who may not otherwise be able to access consistent private voice instruction.

What GRANTED offers

GRANTED provides supported tuition for a limited number of students who may not otherwise be able to access consistent private voice instruction.

  • GRANTED placements may include either:

    • Two 45-minute private voice lessons per month

    • Three 30-minute private voice lessons per month

    The lesson format is determined based on the student’s individual needs and studio scheduling capacity.

    GRANTED students participate fully in the CMW Sounds studio community, including required attendance at all Studio Classes.

    Students receive the same quality of individualized instruction provided to all CMW Sounds students.

    Registration fees are waived for GRANTED students.

    Program Information

    GRANTED placements are offered as openings become available. New placements may be made at any point during the year based on studio capacity, scheduling, and available program support.

    GRANTED availability is assessed at the end of each month to monitor openings and determine when new placements may be offered.

    Continued placement is reviewed at the end of each term. These term reviews allow CMW Sounds to assess ongoing financial circumstances, student engagement and commitment, and studio capacity.

    A term does not represent an automatic expiration of a student’s placement.

    A GRANTED placement may be discontinued at any time if a student no longer meets the expectations, policies, or procedures of the GRANTED Program or CMW Sounds Voice Studio. This may include significant or ongoing attendance issues, failure to attend required Studio Classes, lack of communication, or failure to demonstrate the commitment expected of GRANTED students.

    Summer: July–September
    Continued Placement Review: End of September

    Fall: October–December
    Continued Placement Review: End of December

    Winter: January–March
    Continued Placement Review: End of March

    Spring: April–June
    Continued Placement Review: End of June

Students interested in the GRANTED Program must complete the GRANTED Application Form below. Applications are reviewed based on individual financial circumstances, student commitment, scheduling needs, and available studio capacity.

Submission of an application does not guarantee placement in the program.
