Hi! I’m Cydney, your voice teacher.

Cydney M. Washington - Founder and Voice Teacher of CMW Sounds

I’m a mezzo-soprano and vocal instructor with a passion for healthy, sustainable vocal technique. My teaching is rooted in a pedagogical approach that prioritizes vocal health, efficiency, and longevity.

I strive to create a safe, supportive learning environment where students can explore their voices freely, build confidence, and grow into authentic, expressive performers.

I believe singing should feel natural, efficient, and expressive. My teaching focuses on understanding how the voice works, rather than forcing sound.

Students learn how to:

  • Reduce tension and increase ease

  • Perform with confidence and authenticity
